All Set for ProTaxi Launch October 1 at Rainbow Event Center, Abuja
All is set for the official launch of ProTaxi, a Nigerian-owned technology-driven e-hailing platform powered by PromiseLand, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Rainbow Event Center, Garki, Abuja.
The launch, which coincides with Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration, will formally introduce ProTaxi to the Abuja transportation market as a platform built around safety, reliability, comfort, affordability and technology-driven mobility.
Speaking ahead of the unveiling, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PromiseLand, Ambassador Dr. Lawrence Oloche Emmanuel, said the choice of October 1 reflects the company’s belief in Nigerian enterprise, innovation and the capacity of Nigerians to develop homegrown solutions to everyday challenges.
According to him, ProTaxi goes beyond introducing another ride-hailing service. The initiative is designed to combine transportation with economic empowerment and a gradual transition towards cleaner, rechargeable-energy mobility.
The company has previously announced plans to empower 1,000 drivers, with the programme expected to positively impact about 1,000 households through employment and income-generating opportunities.
ProTaxi is also expected to leverage technology to provide commuters with convenient ride booking, real-time trip tracking, multiple payment options and other safety and user-focused features.
Ambassador Emmanuel said the company is particularly interested in developing a transportation model that can help drivers manage operating costs while providing passengers with dependable and affordable mobility.
The official launch at Rainbow Event Center, Garki, Abuja, is expected to bring together stakeholders, prospective drivers, partners, guests and members of the public as PromiseLand formally unveils the ProTaxi brand and outlines its plans for the Nigerian mobility market.
Beginning with Abuja, PromiseLand plans to progressively expand ProTaxi’s operations to other parts of Nigeria, while promoting indigenous technology, job creation and cleaner transportation.
With preparations concluded, October 1 will mark the official beginning of ProTaxi’s journey- fittingly on the day Nigeria celebrates its independence.
