Alex Scott could be set for a Bournemouth exit in January

Alex Scott could be set for a blockbuster exit from Bournemouth during the January transfer window, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.

While the former Bristol City youngster might be set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines after sustaining a thigh injury while away with England during September’s extended international break, the 23-year-old finds his stock at a red-hot high.

Now in his fourth campaign at the Vitality, Scott has quickly blossomed into one of Europe’s hottest midfield starlets and the new England international is reportedly attracting a string of heavyweight admirers.

However, while the Bournemouth hierarchy might have made it clear over the summer that they would not allow their midfield talisman to leave the south coast, Scott has rejected multiple new contract proposals.

The BBC reported on Tuesday that Scott has been actively pushing for a move away from Bournemouth and the Cherries are now open to a potential January exit.

After a final round of discussions with Scott’s representatives, it appears that the Cherries would be open to accepting an offer in the region of £100million.

Alongside continued interest from Chelsea, Romano is also reporting that Liverpool made their intentions clear over the summer.

While Scott might have eventually stayed put at the Vitality, Chelsea did see a reported £60million offer rejected back in August and the Premier League giants are keen on coming back to the table when the transfer window reopens.

The stance has changed after meeting with agents as Bournemouth rejected all the proposals in the summer.

Chelsea are still involved. Liverpool were keen also in July. Price tag expected to be over £100m, as BBC reports.
