Adam Silver answers if LeBron James’ helicopter rides have any ‘rule issues’

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver finally revealed if LeBron James is breaking any league rules.

Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James’ decision to commute back and forth to games using a helicopter has sparked major debate in the NBA community.

So much so that many fans want James’ helicopter deal with Fanatics to be investigated properly, as they believe the league will find evidence of wrongdoing.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has finally put these rumours to bed by sharing his honest thoughts on James’ lucrative deal.

Adam Silver says LeBron James’ helicopter deal is within NBA rules

Ahead of the 76ers’ season-opener against the New York Knicks, Silver finally broke his silence on James’ viral helicopter deal.

“I would just say in the case of LeBron and that helicopter, he has a deal with Fanatics,” Silver said. “It’s perfectly appropriate if part of his deal is that they’re gonna supply a helicopter to him as long as it’s just a deal between Fanatics and LeBron and no team is involved; there’s no rules issue there whatsoever.”

Well, there you have it, as long as the 76ers aren’t involved in this deal, the NBA has no jurisdiction to investigate James.

A big reason why fans are doubtful about James’ helicopter sponsorship is that Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers were found guilty of a salary cap circumvention scandal.

This led to a heavy punishment for both Leonard and the Clippers, but it doesn’t feel like a similar fate is waiting for James and the 76ers.
