Desire Doue has had a slow start to the season with PSG. He’s had a few poor games early on as the Parisians struggled to find form in the opening weeks, and was even left out of the starting team in a couple of games.

Nobody was doubting he would be back to his best soon, however, and his performance for France against Belgium last night showed his at his best.

Doue will have been keen to impress his new international manager Zinedine Zidane, and it looks like he’s done just that.

Zidane praises Doue after excellent France showing

“Yes, the play out wide worked well. It wasn’t easy when we didn’t have the ball—their two full-backs were playing very high up—but everyone was good. Désiré and Jacquet played well, but so did everyone else. It’s hard to single anyone out; I’m happy,” the legendary former player said to Paris Fans.

“Desire had a very good match,” he concluded.

France have two further matches to play in this break, and Doue will be expected to play a key role again.
