Laycon who goes by the real name Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe is a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and reality star.

He was born on the 8th of November 1993 in Lagos State, Nigeria. Although Laycon was born in Lagos, he is originally from Odeda in Ogun State. He is actually a graduate of the University of Lagos where he studied Philosophy. He gained admission into this University in 2012 and graduated in 2016. As you all know, Laycon is the winner of the Big Brother Naija Season 5 (Lockdown Edition).
Recently, he was also made the youth ambassador of Ogun State, Nigeria.

Laycon Work Career

Laycon started his career and experience as the PA to the Managing Director of Latjum Global Nigeria Ltd. This was during the period when he was an undergraduate student of Unilag.

After graduating from the University, he later moved to Bestman Games in Ikoyi. This was where he worked as a sales and business development staff. Barely two months later, Laycon became the P.A to the assistant director of welfare in the administration and human resources.

This is a department under the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy. Throughout his career, he has worked as a freelance writer for numerous firms.

Laycon Musical Career

While still a kid, Laycon started composing songs and rapping. Back in 2014, the singer was amongst the ten singers who performed at the Coke Studio event in Unilag. He was also one of the 10 finalists in the MTV Base LSB challenge in 2017.

In 2019, the singer was signed into the Fierce Nation Record label. Just a short while after he was signed into the label, he released a song titled ‘Fierce’. He released this track with Reminisce and Chinko Ekun.
This track was part of his second EP which was titled ‘Who is Laycon?‘

A while after, he released the single titled ‘Senseless‘ in 2020. This was before the Big Brother Naija Show. This talented singer has dropped so many hit tracks and EPs over the years.

Big Brother Naija

Laycon actually joined the Big Brother Naija Show as the 19th contestant on the 19th of July 2020. As soon as he joined the house, he quickly signed himself as one of the favorites in the house. He was the first housemate of the Big Brother Naija Season 5 to be officially verified on Instagram.

He also became the first participant in the reality show who reached up to a million followers on Instagram while he was still in Big Brother’s house.
During the end of the show, Laycon was declared the winner after he received a whopping 60% of the total votes.

After winning the show, he was given a brand new SUV and a grand prize of #85 Million Naira.
