£90-95m deal possible: Player’s reps reach out to Arsenal as transfer conditions set
The representatives of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola have reportedly reached out to Arsenal over a potential summer transfer.
The France international has been most strongly linked with Liverpool in recent times, but Arsenal’s failure to land Vinicius Junior has sparked fresh speculation over the player’s situation.
There have been reports from the Independent and others that missing out on Vini Jr could see Arsenal look again at Barcola, even if Liverpool seem like the favourites.
Now an update from Football Transfers states that Barcola’s representatives have reached out to Arsenal to assess the possibility of a deal.
The Gunners, however, value the 23-year-old at around £90-95m, which is a long way off PSG’s asking price, and less than Liverpool are offering, according to the report.
Is Bradley Barcola worth it for Arsenal?
Barcola is a huge talent, but it’s also probably fair to say that Arsenal would be a big step up for him as it’s an entirely different challenge to being a squad player in Ligue 1.
PSG totally dominate the French top flight and that means Barcola is well rested when he takes on their domestic opponents.
At Arsenal, Barcola would presumably be coming in as one of the main focal points in Mikel Arteta’s side, and he’d be up against far more physically aggressive opponents, and a closer league in general.
If the price is right, then AFC should explore this deal, but at the moment it certainly looks like PSG’s demands are unrealistic.
Who else could Arsenal sign?
There’s growing talk of Juventus star Kenan Yildiz being a target for Arsenal in that position.
Italian outlet La Stampa are among the sources to claim Yildiz is being closely monitored by the Gunners, and he’s certainly showed tremendous potential at Juve.
Still, there might be issues there as well due to Serie A being a lot less competitive than the English top flight these days.

Arsenal have also looked at Ferran Torres, though he’s now understood to be closer to joining PSG, which could in theory also impact the Barcola situation due to the long list of forwards in Luis Enrique’s squad.
The Independent have also linked Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye as someone the Premier League champions could turn to.
