2027: Hunger doesn’t know tribe – Isaac Fayose blasts ethnic support for Tinubu

Isaac Fayose, younger brother to former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has slammed Nigerians supporting the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Fayose said hunger does not know any particular tribe.

He questioned why some people are supporting the President based on tribal lines despite worsening economic hardship, rising fuel prices, and insecurity.

The social and political commentator stated that leadership should be judged by results and not ethnicity.

“Why are some Yoruba people still calling Tinubu ‘our own, our president, our son’ at a time when many Nigerians are struggling to feed, complaining about the economy, and battling insecurity?

“Hunger does not know any tribe. Political support should be based on performance and accountability, not where someone comes from,” Fayose said.

According to him, putting tribal loyalty above the welfare of citizens is dangerous for the country’s future.

“Tribal loyalty should not come before the welfare and future of the people,” he added.

His remarks came as discussions around the Tinubu administration and the 2027 elections continue to gain momentum.
