2027: Again, Tinubu blames Atiku for hunger in Nigeria
President Bola Tinubu has again blamed the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and other opposition leaders for the hunger Nigerians are currently facing.
Tinubu, who said this on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, during the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally, also stated that the hunger did not start under his government.
He said it was caused by years of bad leadership under Atiku and others who were in power before him.
“These people who are shouting hunger today are the ones who caused the hunger. Atiku and his friends were in government for years. They had the chance to build Nigeria. They did not build it. They ate the money,” he said.
According to the President, Atiku was a Vice President for eight years, stressing that he had the power to change Nigeria but failed to change anything.
He said the opposition is using hunger to attack his government, noting that they are pretending that they care for Nigerians but only care for power.
The President further stated that his government was working to end hunger by investing in farming, food, and jobs.
