The party announced Alhaji Idris Mamman Durkwa as its candidate for Borno South, Bulama Fugu Ibrahim for Borno North, and Babagana Zanna for Borno Central.

Party officials said the affirmations were conducted across the 27 local government areas of Borno State and supervised by an electoral committee alongside an appeal panel.

They added that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials monitored the process in various constituencies.

In Borno South, consensus candidate Idris Mamman Durkwa, a former federal permanent secretary and ex-APC member, was formally presented as the party’s flag bearer.

Durkwa, who previously contested against Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume during the 2023 APC primaries, expressed confidence in ADC’s chances ahead of the elections.

He said the endorsement reflected unity within the party and pledged to prioritise security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and agricultural development if elected.

ADC officials in the state said the party has strengthened its structure across legislative levels as part of its wider electoral preparations ahead of 2027.
