2026 World Cup: Three teams qualify for Round of 32

Germany became the latest team to qualify for the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup.

This is thanks to their 2-1 win over Cote d’Ivoire in their second Group E fixture on Saturday night.

Julian Nagelsmann’s team had thrashed Curacao in their first game, but had to fight from a goal down to beat the Elephants.

Franck Kessie put the Ivorians in front against the run of play in the first half.

But Germany fought back to take all three points, thanks to a brace from substitute Deniz Undav.

They now join co-hosts Mexico and USA who are already through to the knockouts of the tournament.
