2026 World Cup: Mbappe names best two players

France captain, Kylian Mbappe, has named the best two players in the world.

Speaking to the media, Mbappe was asked who is the best footballer between him, Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

“Messi is the best together with Cristiano Ronaldo,” he replied.

Mbappe scored twice in their first group fixture against Senegal, while Messi netted a stunning hat-trick against Algeria.

“I knew that Leo Messi was going to score goals… he always scores,” Mbappe added.

“I’m going to keep scoring goals to help my team go as far as possible.

“And of course, by scoring, I’ll get closer to the record.”

Mbappe would be hoping to send France into the knockouts when they take on Iraq on Monday.
