2026 World Cup: 16 countries eliminated ahead of Round of 32 fixtures

Sixteen countries have been eliminated from the 2026 World Cup ahead of the Round of 32 fixtures.

This follows the conclusion of the final group stage fixtures played earlier today.

Recall that Algeria played a 3-3 draw with Austria, while Argentina defeated Jordan 3-1.

The likes of Panama, Tunisia, Turkey and Haiti have been eliminated after recording the lowest points in their various groups.

The Round of 32 matches will commence later today, Sunday.
