2026 SEC football preseason power rankings
The 2026 college football season will kick off Sept. 3 for SEC schools. No. 25 Missouri will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri (8 p.m. EDT, SEC Network).
Rankings reflect the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll.
One SEC game will be contested on Sept. 4. No. 9 Oklahoma will host UTEP at Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma (8 p.m. EDT, SEC Network+).
No. 18 Tennessee will open its campaign Sept. 5 against Furman at Neyland Stadium. The nonconference matchup is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT and can be watched on SEC Network+.
Week 1 will also feature Auburn versus Baylor at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia (3:30 p.m. EDT, ABC) and No. 23 Clemson at No. 13 LSU on Sept. 5 (7:30 p.m. EDT, ABC). Auburn received 29 points in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll.
The opening week of the season will conclude Sept. 6 for SEC schools. No. 10 Ole Miss will face Louisville at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Kickoff between the Rebels and Cardinals is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT and will be televised by ABC. Louisville is receiving 153 preseason points in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
