But for those eager to get in on the ground floor of an exciting new series, November and December have plenty to offer in the way of new beginnings, too. Many beloved fantasy authors, including Cassandra Clare and John Gwynne, are kicking off new series before the year is out. For those looking for a new series to fall in love with, that’s great news.

Starting a new series as soon as book one releases does have drawbacks, mainly waiting forever for the next installment to come out. Even so, there’s something exciting about being among the first to discover a new fantasy hit before it really takes off. If that’s your kind of reading experience, you won’t want to miss some of the most promising new fantasy series that are starting off in late 2026.
